Highways Agency – M25 J30 Section 278 Scheme
Deputy Project Manager for the high-profile scheme to mitigate the increased traffic generated by the London Gateway Port development at the busy junction (£2M consultancy fees). Tasks undertaken included the setting up and management of project controls, including the use of the Highways Agency’s Project Control Framework, management of project health & safety (during the design phase), coordinating the diversion/ protection required to the significant Statutory Undertakers plant and equipment, coordinating the production of the tender documentation, and undertaking the role of acting PB Project Manager for a 3 month period during the key period of finalizing, and issuing the tender documents and was a member of the tender assessment panel. Following the contract award tasked with technical handover to the design and build contractor and was a part of the team that reviewed the final construction design.
